How every frame is made

  1. Designed by an expert shooter

30+ years of shooting experience shapes every fork and grip profile, so your frame feels right in your hand.

  2. Precision 3D printed in PETG

PETG (polyethylene terephthalate glycol) composite is tough and lightweight, giving you a rigid frame without the bulk.

  3. Made 100% in Australia

Designed, printed and finished here, not mass-produced overseas, so it arrives ready for you to set up and shoot.

  4. Tested before it ships

Every frame is tested before it leaves us, so it reaches you ready to shoot.

Your slingshot questions, answered

Questions shooters ask before they buy

What is the best slingshot for beginners?

Start with the Daily Driver V2. Its refined grip geometry is comfortable and forgiving, it comes with a 0.6 mm flat band, and it stays useful as you improve.

What is the difference between a framed and a frameless slingshot?

A framed slingshot like the Daily Driver V2 has forks that hold the flat bands apart, which makes aiming easier to learn. A frameless slingshot like The Gremlin drops the forks for a smaller, lighter carry, but relies on your hand position and technique, so it suits experienced shooters.

Which slingshot is best for everyday carry?

The Micro Malice is our lightest carry, a budget-friendly micro frame that slips into a pocket. For something that goes everywhere you do, the Pickle-Bic is a fully functional slingshot built into a lighter case.

Which slingshot suits long shooting sessions?

The Chalice of Malice. It is compact, with uncompromising precision, for shooters who want accuracy over long sessions without carrying a full-sized frame.

What makes the Chalice of Malice Marine Ply different?

The Chalice of Malice Marine Ply is a limited edition. Each frame is hand cut, hand finished and individually numbered.

What flat band thickness should I use?

Thinner flat bands, from 0.55 mm to 0.6 mm, give a lighter, smoother draw that suits most target shooting. Thicker flat bands, from 0.75 mm to 1.1 mm, add power for heavier ammo but need more draw strength. Bands that are too strong for light ammo also wear out faster. See all flat bands.

What size ammo should I use with a slingshot?

8 mm steel is a popular all-round size and a common competition standard. Match your flat bands to your ammo: lighter bands suit smaller ammo, while larger, heavier ammo needs thicker bands. We stock steel ammo from 6 mm to 12 mm and clay ammo in 9.5 mm and 10.5 mm. Compare ammo.

Should I use steel or clay ammo?

Magnetic clay ammo is biodegradable and gentler on targets and backstops, which makes it ideal for practice. Plated steel ammo is reusable and consistent in size and weight, so it suits precision shooting.

How long do flat bands last?

It depends on your ammo, how far you draw and how you store them. Keep flat bands out of direct sun and heat, check them for nicks or tears before every session, and replace them at the first sign of wear. See all flat bands.

Are slingshots safe?

Slingshots are safe when used responsibly. Always wear eye protection, inspect your frame and flat bands before every session, shoot only at proper targets with a backstop or catchbox, and never shoot at people, animals or property.

Where are Armament Mfg. slingshots made?

Every frame is designed, 3D printed and tested in Australia, then shipped to you from here.

Slingshots can cause injury if misused. Inspect your frame and flat bands before every session, wear eye protection, and shoot only in a safe, controlled area with a proper backstop.
